07/16/26 – For sale is a Mauser K98k made in 1940 that was captured by the Soviet Union and was reworked and then reissued to backline troops. The rifle has the typical dark Soviet refinish on the metal. The stock was sanded and had the serial number stamped on the side. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but the muzzle area is frosted over from oxidation. The bolt and bolt sleeve were renumbered to match the receiver. There is an import mark on the bottom of the barrel.
