Description

4/25/24 – This is a near-mint example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 made at the very end of WW2. This is a GI mismatched gun, put together by an American GI when the Walther factory was liberated. All of the parts are mismatched and in the proper “c and d” serial blocks, correct for this variation. The barrel is in the “d” block, a desirable trait for some collectors. It also only has one “Eagle 359” military acceptance proof on the right side of the slide, indicating it was never issued. It has a mixture of phosphate and blued parts, also correct for this variation. This one has retained nearly all of its original finish. There is just one small spot of wear on the top plate and a few light scratches at the left front of the frame. Excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a rare, late-war, “U” marked, “Eagle 359” Walther magazine. Factory-new bore. De-cocker is not functional – typical for these guns.
