Description
3/27/2023 -This is a minty example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. The gun has the “United States Property” marking, and has the proper cross-canon military cartouche. Issued to the US Military late in WW2. The slide is not numbered (correct for this year). It has a correct Colt 45 Auto barrel. The gun has retained about 98 – 99% of its original parkerized finish – just a hint of wear on some of the high edges of the slide. The main spring housing is the later style (non-checkering). The gun comes with excellent grips and a WW2 magazine marked with an “S” . The bore has strong rifling and mostly shiny; just a hint of cloudiness. We would rate the bore at about 8/10.
