Description
12/5/23 – This is an example of a Hungarian G98/40 produced for the German Army during WW2. These rifles were made after Germany’s occupation of Hungary and converted the production lines to fit their needs. The G98/40 uses a Mannlicher action and is cock-on-close.. The metal on the rifle is in good condition with bluing left but also patina throughout. The rifle is matching on the following parts: receiver, bolt handle, Magazine floor, trigger guard, and both barrel bands. The bolt sleeve and cocking knob is not matching. The stock has been sanded and the serial number is not visible. The bore is very dark and the rifling is very shallow. The rifle had aftermarket sling swivels added and came with one brown leather sling.
