Description
10/21/24 – Very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand, manufactured in 1941. The finish shows typical wear throughout with thinning around the receiver and the muzzle, and presents a pleasing patina. The bore shows good rifling and rates about a 7 of 10. ME & TE both measure a 3. Barrel is dated Oct of 1943. All visible marks have the proper SA stamp. Rebuilt sometime in the past and the serial number was pencil etched on the bolt. The stock has the ‘P’ stamp on the wrist. There are no other markings except for a faint “75” on the right side of the butt stock. Smooth action and fully functional.
