08/29/2024 – For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in July of 1944. The rifle is in great condition overall with a nice smooth parkerized finish with minor edge wear. The stock and handguard are also in great condition with minor scratches and pressure marks from being handled. The The left side of the stock at the wrist area has a “SA” in a box stamped. The barrel is stamped January of 1945 by Springfield. The bore is bright but is darker towards the muzzle. The muzzle erosion rate a 2.5 while the throat erosion is 3.5.
