5/14/25 — For sale is a S&W Model 1917 revolver manufactured in 1918. The revolver is in approximately 90% condition. The metal retains a nice shiny blued finish with scattered handling scratches and wear and finish loss around the muzzle. The hammer and trigger still show a faint trace of case color. The grips are in good shape overall, with a small chip on the left panel and a corner chip missing on the right panel. The bore is bright with strong rifling, rated 9/10. The barrel is marked “US Property” and the bottom of the grip is stamped “US Army.” The grip serial matches the cylinder.
