Description
4/23/26 – This is a nice example of a Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1916. It has all the proper markings, but the gun has been completely nickel-plated. It is fitted with a set of black rubber Colt grips and comes with a nickeled magazine. The gun shows no finish loss, but there are some areas of pin-pricking under the finish – most noticeable on the left side of the slide and right side of the frame. The bore has decent rifling, but there is noticeable fouling and frosting in the grooves.
