2/24/25 – This is a fair example of a pre-WW1 German Gewehr 88 ammo pouch. These ammo pouches were used by the Imperial German forces up through WW1. The leather on this ammo pouch is in fair condition with minor cracking and abrasion wear throughout. The one ammo pouch closure strap has disconnected from the pouch but is still present, stored in the pouch. The intact strap is beginning to separate and crack. The inside of the leather pouch is marked “122. K” as well as “1888”. The ammo pouch comes with 15 dummy rounds.
