9/26/24 – This is a rare Krieghoff Luger from 1937. There were only ~2,000 Krieghoffs produced that year, and this one is all matching and original. The blue rates around 80%, with wear on each side of the barrel and the standard high edges. There’s also some pitting, a bit of discoloration, and a horizontal scratch on the sideplate. Some visible patina on the grip straps. Original Krieghoff grips are in excellent condition. Small parts retain about 70% of the original straw. Excellent bore. Interestingly, the final Krieghoff proof on the right side of the receiver is from the 1940s, so this gun was likely completed/went through final inspection some years after 1937. The magazine in the pistol is a Krieghoff original, but is renumbered.
