5/28/25 – For sale is a rare Pennsylvania Long Rifle made by Adam Daniels of Susquehanna Rifle Makers. The rfiel was rifle was likely made sometime between 1825 and 1876 when Daniels was making rifles in Pennsylvania. The rifle was converted to percussion fire after percussion caps had become widely available. The metal has a nice, aged patina finish throughout. No signs of pitting but there is edge wear on the tang. The The stock has a very nice stripe pattern throughout with brass inlays. The bore is dark so we cannot tell the full condition but from what the light shines looks good. The action is delicate but still functions. The set trigger has the main trigger fire with a couple ounces of pressure. There is heavy wear on the stock behind the percussion nipple and before the hammer. The ramrod is a very lightweight wood with some flex, like willow. The stock is missing the 2 small pins that secure the front of the stock into the barrel. The left side plate is marked “No 1:47” and the lock plate has “A D” on it. The rifle comes with a powder horn.
