Description
10/10/23 – This is an excellent example of a a rare Arisaka Type 38 rifle that has a concentric circle crest on the receiver in place of the Imperial mum stamp. This indicates issue to a Non-military Institution of the Japanese Government.Organizations that this rifle was issued to could have been the Police or Prison Guards or some possibly the Railroads. This one is mismatched, but has retained nearly all of its bluing. While there is next-to-no bluing loss on the metal parts, there is light spotty oxidation throughout. There is no major damage to the stock, but it shows a normal degree of wear-and-tear. There is what appears to be a rack or unit number on the left side of the butt stock. Comes with a cleaning rod and repro sling. Mint bore.
