4/30/24 – This is a nice example of a rare, early Erfurt Luger issued to the Imperial German Army in 1911. The gun is all matching and has the proper Imperial and Erfurt proofs. “Crown RC” proofs here and there. The frame does not have a stock lug, which is correct for this early variation. It originally had no hold-open, but one has been added. The gun has retained roughly 60% of its bluing. The most obvious wear is on the barrel and on the side plate. Light freckling on the grip straps. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips and comes with a mismatched re-numbered magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling with minor frosting throughout.
