Description
9/23/24 – This is a very rare and desirable Beretta Model 1931, one of only 8,000 produced. The model 1931 was only manufactured from 1931-34 and was made for the Italian Navy. It was a transitional design between the 1922-23 models and the final designs of the 1934 and 1935 Beretta. The pistol is marked with the RM and Navy anchor on the grips, and shield over BF marking on left side of frame. This one features a filigree engraving on both sides of the slide, front edge of the frame, and on the underside of the trigger guard. Its bluing rates about 93% with general high edge wear and areas of light spotty oxidation here and there – most noticeable on the grip straps. The bore has good rifling, but there is light frosting throughout.
