5/1/24 -This is a rare and excellent H&R Reising Model 60 semiautomatic rifle.¬ This rifle was the semiautomatic variant of the Model 50, and were typically used by the Marines for training, guard duty and other non-combat roles.¬ This variant was only manufactured from 1941-1945, and this serial would be towards the middle of that range.¬ There were only about 3,000 of this model produced during the war, compared to over 120,000 of the submachine guns.¬ And of that production number, about ~2000 were parkerized.¬This rifle shows minor thinning and patina to the metal finish. The stock has scuffs and scratches but no cracks.Strong, shiny bore.
