1/31/24 – This is a very scarce variation of Mauser Broomhandle Large Ring hammer pistol, made in 1902-1903, that features Äúshallow milledÄù panels on both sides of the frame. Only a couple thousand of this variation were made, and all fall in 30xxx- 33xxx serial range. This particular gun is all matching, including all the internal parts and grips.The gun also has a scarce ÄúVon Lengerke and Detmold, New YorkÄù inscription on the left side of the frame – a company that was the sole distributor of the C96 Mauser in US at that time. This particular example has retained roughly 40% of its original bluing with obvious finish loss throughout. The bore has good rifling with very light pin-pricking throughout. It comes as a rig with a matching-numbered wood stock.
