5/24/24 – This is an excellent example of a mid-war Mauser HSc issued to the German Navy in 1942/43. It is all matching and has the proper “Navy M/11/3” acceptance proof on the trigger guard.This is a fourth variation, indicated by the tiny marking. The gun itself has retained about 85 – 90% of its original finish, with most of the wear on the front and back grip straps. The gun is fitted with very nice period-correct wood grips. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.We would rate the bore a 9 out of 10.The pistol comes with the proper wartime magazine. Part of the history of the gun is that it was first captured by the British as noted by the British proof marks on the right side of the frame, slide and ejection ports.
