Description
8/6/24 – This is a rare transitional Colt 1911 that was manufactured in 1924. Fewer than 10,000 Colt 1911s were made that year, and they are known to have transitional features from the 1911 to the 1911A1.This one is all original with a intertwined “HP” marked Colt barrel. Its original high polish finish rates about 92% with some thinning on the front strap, muzzle wear, minor high edge wear, and some tiny surface scratches here and there. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with an “S” marked magazine. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is pin-pricking throughout.
