8/18/23 -This is a “Red 9” Mauser C96 chambered in 9mm and issued to the Imperial German military during WW1. It is all matching and Imperial proofed. The grip panels are numbered and matching, but only the left panel has a “Red 9” – the majority of the red paint has worn away. There is not much actual finish loss, but the whole gun is covered in noticeable spotty oxidation and pin-pricking. There are some tiny pits around the grip panels. Original lanyard ring is intact. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout.
