1/11/22 – This is a nice Remington M1917 rifle from 1918 with bayonet and scabbard.It was at least partially re-worked based off the arsenal markings on the stock (AOW & 3GM-K).Nice parkerized finish throughout with minor thinning but no major areas of wear.’E’ proofs on bolt appear to indicate Eddystone manufacture.Barrel is marked ‘JA’ with a flaming bomb.The bore is fairly shiny and has strong rifling but there are some patches of corrosion in the grooves.The rifle comes with a scarce, original Remington M1917 bayonet with scabbard.The blade is US marked with a flaming bomb and in good condition.Sharp markings throughout.Scabbard has various dings but no major defects and is ‘GF’ marked.
