Description
3/2/26 – This is a very nice example of a Remington Rand 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. There is a cross-canon cartouche on the frame, military “P” proofs, and the proper “FJA” inspection stamp. Correct HS High Standard barrel. It has retained about 93% of its original parkerized finish. The majority of the finish loss comes in the form of thinning on the grip straps. There is a small area of tiny pitting on the right side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct plastic grips. It comes as a rig with one magazine and a 1944-dated leather shoulder holster (there is a strap missing). Minty bore.
