Description
7/10/23 – This is an original WW2 production Japanese T30 bayonet. The bayonet is made by Riken Kourzai Arsenal (under Nagoya supervision). Cited in Labar’s book as a Variation D, LB 126. The bayonet features an excellent blued, fullered blade that has some mild finish loss and surface patina mostly located near the tip of the blade. The straight cross guard has dark patina mixed within the finish and has no rust or pitting. The bird’s head pommel has some spotty surface rust and light patina throughout. The wood grips are contoured with 2 screws and washers. There’s one small chip in the left side of the grip, near the cross guard. Comes with a metal cone-tipped scabbard. A great wartime production example.
