12/1/23 – This is a Romanian manufactured M44 Mosin Nagant Carbine, chambered in 7.62X54R. Finish rates about 85 ~ 90%with high edge wear throughout.Bore has good rifling and rates an 8 of 10. The stock has finish wear on the left side and shows typical handling marks and dings. Full matching serial numbers – (furniture is non-serialized). The barrel shank is stamped with a wreath with the initials RPR (Romanian People’s Republic), manufacturing year of 1954, theserial number, and a manufacturing mark of an arrowhead in a triangle. Import marked up near the muzzle.Fully functional.
