6/6/23 – This is a nice example of a scarce Russian Nagant Model 1895 Revolver, manufactured in 1914. This is one of the early models made in single action only. They stopped doing this in 1918. This one is all matching and has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard, but there is also wear on the cylinder and around the muzzle. There is noticeable spotty oxidation throughout and some areas of pitting, most obvious on the cylinder and on the front sight blade. Some scratching on both sides of the frame. The hammer and trigger still have most of their original fire-bluing. Fitted with very nice period-correct wood grips. The bore is shiny for the most part with strong rifling, but there are a couple of areas of noticeable oxidation.
