3/24/25 – This is a scarce WB-marked Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942. The slide is numbered and matching. It is “United States Property” marked and has “WB” inspector initials. “Colt 45 Auto” barrel with a large “G” under the lug. The gun’s finish rates roughly 70%. There is general thinning and noticeable spotty patina throughout. Fitted with period-correct reddish-brown plastic grips and comes with a period-correct “S” marked magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is noticeable pin-pricking throughout.
