7/18/23 – This is a scarce BSA SHTLE III that was made in 1916 and then later arsenal rebuilt for WWII.Matching numbers on receiver, bayo lug, bolt and stock.Receiver is dated to 1918, and the top of the receiver shows the Iarqi proof, as does the stock disc.The rifle was refinished during the arsenal rebuild and shows patina on the metal parts.Bore has strong rifling but frost throughout.Stock is in good condition with a few dings and nicks but no structural issues.
