8/8/24 – This is a very nice example of the desirable Colt Model 1902 pistol, that was manufactured during WWI for issue to the US military. There were only ~18,000 of this model produced, all between 1902 and 1928. The military model can be distinguished by the rectangular shape to the frame, swivel lanyard loop on frame, and the additional cartridge capacity in their magazines. This model was chambered for .38 ACP, and is very similar in design to the innovative M1900. This particular example is matching and has retained roughly 75-80% of its original high polish bluing. There is somewhat scratchy wear throughout, concentrated mostly on the grip straps and around the high edges. Fitted with period-correct blackish-brown hard rubber grips and comes with one magazine. The bore has great rifling with some very light pin-pricking here and there.
