10/10/23 – This is a scarce DWM “sneak” Luger from the Weimar period. These are typically termed Sneak Lugers based on the lack of any identifying manufactures markings and proof marks, which the Nazis did to disguise their early rearmament efforts. This one ended up with the police. It has a blank toggle and no chamber date. All numbered parts are matching. Weimar-era proofs on the right side of the slide. There is a police sear safety and a cut for a magazine safety. Unit marking on the front strap. The bluing rates roughly 80%. Most of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is also wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the front edges of the side rails. Fitted with un-numbered wood grips and comes with a mismatched police arsenal-numbered
