2/27/2023 – This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 640-2 revolver, chambered in .38 Special, with a 2.25″ barrel. Excellent stainless steel finish, with some minor surface scuffing wear, particularly at the muzzle lock, and a slight roll mark on the cylinder. Very nice case-hardening on the trigger, and excellent ergonomic black rubber grips. The bore is near-mint. The cylinder is tight, and the action is very smooth. The 640-2 is a rare double action only variant of the original 640 series, produced from 1997-1999, and was specifically created for the NYPD for use as their primary service weapon.Comes with a Sticky brand pocket holster.
