2/25/22 – This is an excellent Springfield Armory M1922 MII that was made in the WW2-era.These were built as cadet training rifles, designed to mimic the M1903 Springfield.This particular example shows that the armory upgraded it from the MI, as the second ‘I’ was clearly added later.The parkerized finish rates at ~95% with a little bit of surface wear on the receiver, and very minor scuffs near the muzzle.Minty bore and stock.Barrel is Springfield marked and dated to August, 1942.Stock is marked ‘M2’, and ‘D28225’, not sure if this is a serial number or rack number.Bolt action is buttery smooth.Handle is marked ‘NS’ and ‘M2’, and bolt is also marked ‘M2’.
