4/17/25 – This is a very nice example of a Smith & Wesson Regulation Police Revolver from about 1917. Chambered in .38 S&W with a 4 inch barrel. It has retained about 91-92% of its original finish. The majority of the wear comes in the form of spotty discoloration around the muzzle and along the left side of the barrel. Fitted with period-correct checkered wood grips – “Pat. June 5 1917” on the bottom edge of the left grip panel. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor frosting throughout.
