1/11/22 – This is a Springfield Armory M1 Garand from 1943 that was at least partially re-worked after the war.Barrel and receiver date to July of 1943 so could be original to each other.Faded DoD cartouche on the stock indicates that stock was replaced after the war.Nice, original parkerized finish on receiver and barrel but wear throughout on the gas tube.The stock does have a small crack on the left side, under the receiver, that has been visibly repaired.Bore has good rifling but some frost and freckling throughout.Muzzle reading is a 5, throat is a 3.
