Description
4/23/24 – This is a 1911 issued to the US military during WWI. The frame was made by Colt and dates to 1918. The slide is a WWI-era Springfield with a Springfield barrel. The left side of the frame has an “AA” arsenal marking, indicating this gun was arsenal reworked, most likely for WW2. The entire gun has a parkerized finish. There is some brown patina on the grip straps and pin-pricking throughout. Fitted with WW2-era reddish plastic grips and comes with a WW2-era “R” marked magazine. Very nice bore.
