2/13/25 – For sale is a Krag Jorgensen Model 1896 carbine that falls within the last serial number range of the Rough Riders. The carbine is well worn with the finish worn down to nearly bare metal with freckling of pitting on the surface. The barrel retains some of its bluing but many spots of wear. The stock is in good shape but has been sanded sometime in the past. There is a hairline crack connecting between the saddle ring and the magazine on the left side. There is also a hairline crack behind the loading gate about .5″ in length. There is a 1″ crack stemming from the tang. The bore is mostly bright with good rifling but there is pitting at the muzzle.
