Description
04/13/26 – For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand Chambered in .30-06 made originally in 1943. The rifle had been rebuilt after the war, with parts replaced. The metal has a nice smooth parkerized finish with the front of the receiver having edge wear. The barrel has freckling of patina. The stock is a replacement with the only mark being a Circle P on the bottom. There are chatter marks on each side of the buttstock form a shooter tapping their loaded enblocks against it. Bore is bright but begins to darken toward the muzzle. The rifling is strong; there is some prickling of corrosion in the grooves. The muzzle erosion rating is 4, and throat erosion is 3. The barrel is dated SA 1950.
