Description
8/1/22 – This is a nice Springfield Armory M1 Garand with receiver from 1944.The gun was re-worked after the war, with a Danish replacement barrel and an unmarked stock. The finish on the metal parts is excellent overall with minor edge wear on the gas tube and receiver. The bore is shiny with strong rifling. Muzzle and throat reading are both a 1.The stock is in very good condition with no cracks or notable chips.Interestingly, it does have the matching serial number of the receiver stamped in the underside but not sure when this would have been done. The bore has strong rifling but notable frost throughout, and some patches of pitting.Muzzle is a 1, throat is between a 1 and 2.
