8/10/23 – This is an authentic Springfield Armory M1D sniper rifle. Excellent condition, as likely arsenal refinished.Receiver dates to December of 1942.Barrel is also a Springfield production, but the date stamp is difficult to make out.It was made in March, but can’t say if it’s 1942 or 1952 for certain, though ’52 would be more likely.Excellent CMP marked stock with circle P on wrist.Bore is shiny with good rifling and a little frost.It has an original M84 scope which has very good blue and clear optics, with only minor speckling in the view field.Listing includes the checkpad, sling, and pronged flash hider.Cheekpad has date of November of 1962 on it.Sling has some cracking in it.
