Description
10/3/23 – This a nice Springfield Model 1903 rifle. The serial number on the receiver dates it to 1918. The barrel is USMC marked and dated October of 1943. Faint “P” proof on the wrist of the stock. The finish on the metal rates roughly 75% with thinning on the barrel, barrel bands, and floor plate/trigger group. Some light freckling and a few small pits on the receiver. The wood furniture is nice but shows the typical signs of wear – bruises and dings throughout. Mint bore.
