Description
5/14/25 – This is a Walther PP that was issued to the Nazi SS in 1940. It is all matching and comes with two original matching-numbered SS magazines. This gun would be considered a Variation Three, Fifth Contact, discussed on pages 95-99 in Tom Whiteman’s “SS Contract Walther PP/PPK” Book. This exact gun is listed by serial number on page 98. The finish on the gun is generally worn with noticeable patina, and there is tiny pitting covering the entire gun. Fitted with a set of period-correct black bakelite grips. Very nice bore with great rifling. It comes with an SA holster that was de-faced; it may be a stretch, but it’s possible this was done after the “Night of the Long Knives” when the SS killed off top SA leaders, or this may have been done after the war as a protest to Nazi ideology. We can’t say for sure.
