Description
2/3/26 – This is a stunning example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It comes with a Colt factory letter that states it was shipped to the Springfield Armory for a commanding officer on October 10, 1944. It also comes as a rig with a very nice 1944-dated Boyt holster and a proper “L” marked magazine. The gun is in beautiful condition, showing virtually no finish loss. Fitted with correct reddish plastic grips. Like-new bore. Colt barrel with a large “G” under the lug.
