Description
7/28/23 – This is a nice example of a Smith & Wesson Pre-Victory revolver that was part of the British/Australian Lend-Lease Program during WW2 – issued to the British or Australian military. It is matching with British proofs throughout. On the butt of the frame, under the grips, there is a US military flaming bomb proof. The entire gun has been nickel-plated. There is very little actual finish loss, but there are some tiny flakes in the finish and some spots of discoloration on both sides of the frame. Micro-scratching in the finish throughout. Fitted with a set of post-war wood grips. The bore has strong rifling with some minor fouling in the grooves.
