6/20/24 – This is an original WW2 Japanese Arisaka Rifle Type 30 Bayonet. The bayonet is in great overall condition, and cited in Labar’s book as LB-130, Variation B. The bayonet features a hooked quillion and bird’s head pommel. Light finish loss throughout this hilt area, but no rust or pitting and the patina is minimal. The 2 piece contoured wood grips have some dark staining but are in great shape with no cracks or chips. 2 screws with washers. The blade is in great overall condition with some dark oxidation and surface aging throughout. No major issues and a clean edge. Comes with a metal ball tipped scabbard.
