5/14/21 – This is an ultra rare FN Browning High Power that was part of a very small contract order for these pistols by the Congolese government.This example is one of only 500 produced/ordered in 1958, and the slide is marked ‘Etat’ for “State”, alongside the rampant Belgian lion and 1958 date.This variation was destined for government officials and administrators.More info can be found in Vanderlinden’s book on FN pistols (Pg. 341).This one features a black enamel finish with a nice profile but most of the wear/flaking on the grip frame.Grips have a few dings and nicks but no cracks.Strong, shiny bore.Magazine base has the same finish as the pistol.
