8/26/24 – This is a rare WW2 production US Mare Island Ensign Flag, size marked “No. 12”. The flag features 48 individually sewn-on stars, and an attractive smaller size that measures about 31.25 inches long and 17.5 inches wide. All of the stitching on the red and white stripes is original, tight, and excellent. The hoist is clean and has 4 original brass hanging rings. One side of the hoist is maker marked, “U.S.E.NO 12 MARE ISLAND”. The only downside is a few small holes in the flag, but this is minor and overall excellent condition for a WW2 original Mare Island Flag.
