Description
01/27/26 – This is a nice example of an original Colt M1917 revolver issued to the US military during WWI. All matching with the proper military acceptance proofs and “United States Property” marking. It has retained about 92% of its original military blue. There is notable wear on the grip straps, the top of the frame, and behind the hammer, and each side of the frame next to that from a high hand grip. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips but there is a tiny corner missing on the bottom left of the left panel. The bore is very bright with strong rifling.
