8/7/25 – For sale is a Nice French Gras Mle 1866-74 that was made in 1872. The rifle had received the M80 update at St Etienne in 1880. The rifle retains a nice bluing throughout The stock shows light pressure marks but in excellent shape. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle is almost all matching but the rear sight ladder has an assembly number that is 1 digit off. 3H189 vs 3H180. The Bolt assembly, receiver, barrel bayonet lug and stock have matching serial numbers. The barrel, receiver, Inner stock, have a matching assembly number of 3H180. The screws all have “93” stamped on them.
