5/10/24 – This is an original WW1 German Butcher Bayonet. The bayonet comes with an original scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet blade is unmarked and has an old re-blued finish that’s greyed with age and has light spots of surface patina throughout. Very nice, clean edge and great overall condition. The blade has no markings or stamps. The hand guard is stamped “RK”. The wood handles have some normal signs of age and handling but no major issues. There’s surface wear throughout the hand guard and pommel, and the pommel has an imperial proof stamp at the top. The scabbard has a few small dents and dark patina throughout. The toe / tip of the scabbard is Imperial proof stamped. The leather frog has surface cracking throughout but is completely intact.
