Description
8/17/23 – This is an original WW1 era production British Enfield P1907 bayonet. The bayonet blade is in great overall condition with dark surface oxidation and mild patina throughout. The edge has a few nicks and dings from use. The base of the blade is stamped with a crown over “GR” and 1907 designation stamped. There’s also a 7 – 18 date stamp for 1918. The reverse has British proof stamps and a few small peen markings. The cross guard has surface wear and finish loss but no rust or pitting, same goes for the pommel. The wood grips have a few notches scratched into them, and a letter “A” carved on one side. The pommel has markings that indicate this was likely reissued at some point after WW1. Comes with an original scabbard that was likely repainted olive green post WW1, but is in very good overall condition with all original leather and stitching.
