6/24/24 – This is an original WW1 era US Military M1907 Leather Rifle Sling. The sling is complete with both original leather adjustment loops and brass (non-magnetic) metal fixtures. One portion of the sling shows a crisp Chicago Belting Co. maker stamp, with military inspector initials “H.E.” underneath. The other portion of the sling has a faint “1918” date stamp, where only a portion of the numbers are visible. There’s also a faint inspector initial stamp underneath this date. The leather is in great shape with normal pliability. Some light surface wrinkling but no major issues.
