Description
5/14/24 – This is an original German Army Africa Corps (DAK) Tropical Pith Helmet. 2nd pattern and in excellent overall condition. This example is complete with a clean interior headband and liner, as well as an original chinstrap attached. The exterior has excellent emblems (1 on each side) and minimal tattering along the leather-lined brim edge. The crown of the exterior has a few light scuffs and moth holes. The interior brim felt has a few small moth holes but is generally clean with no stains or major issues. The leather headband is well marked with a “JHS” maker code and an interior size and date stamp, “56-1942”.
